After selecting a category and an associated unit an input value has to be provided. Once input has been provided and the “Convert" button has been clicked, the keyboard will be dismissed, and the conversion results will be listed in a table underneath the input field. The selected category and unit will appear as the button title.
Checks will be executed the validate the input provided. An error message will be displayed if invalid input is entered.
All categories can deal with decimal input including decimal places. Exceptions are the categories Numeral and Data. These categories dont allow decimal places. For the Numeral category input depends on the selected unit; binary only allows 0 and 1, octal only allows for 0..7, decimal only allows for 0..9 and hexadecimal allows for 0..9 and A..F.
The categories Circle, Data and Temperature have an option “Table" in the Unit list. When selected the app will list formulas used to execute the conversions (for Circle and Temperature) and a table with all data storage units and how they relate to each other (for Data). Tables will be listed without the need to provide Input or pressing the Convert button.
More detailed Help information is provided on the Help screen in the app.
In settings you can set number of decimal places for each of the categorys unit conversion results and if you want to use grouping separators. Also you have the option to change the color of the buttons on the main screen.
